Feather Touch Eyebrows

Feather Touch Eyebrows

Feather Touch Micropigmentation is an exciting treatment for use on the eyebrows and scalp area and is suitable for both men and women.

Feather Touch Micropigmentation treatment is the art of re-creating fine hair strokes using a micro-pigmenting technique.  Unlike the harsh block tattooing of the past, Feather Touch looks completely natural because it mimics the real brown hair and can be individually customised. Scroll down to see some instant results!

If you or have uneven, thin or short eyebrows this treatment can transform sparse eyebrows into perfectly shaped natural looking brows to frame the face.  We use fine colour matched hair strokes which are sculptured into your existing brows.

Depending on your needs, brows can be subtly coloured or completely remodelled as each new strand is intricately etched and coloured by hand.  This creates the background and fills in the parts of the eyebrows that looked empty so that a full and complete look is accomplished. The “3D” effect gives it an added realism to the end result.

This technique can also be performed on the scalp area - Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP.This technique provides the illusion of fullness or the appearance of thick, shortly cropped hair. See our SMP page.

The Procedure

Micropigmentation is a semi-permanent technique using colour pigment drawn onto the skin.   A metal hand tool with fine needles is used to create fine hair-like strokes to either create a beautifully designed brow or disguise the look of thinning hair on the scalp. A hypo-allergenic pigment is implanted into the skin and will generally last up to 2 years (results will vary depending on the client’s exposure to sun and resistance to pigment).

Anaesthetic is continually applied to decrease any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Depending on the depth of colour requested, most people are comfortable in public within 2-5 days.

Is this the same as a normal "tattoo"?

Yes and no. Yes - it can be considered as a form of tattoo, however, the pigments are distilled water based (opposed to the common oil carrier based pigments in conventional tattoos) thus resulting to a semi-permanent lasting result.

The work involved with feather touch technique is only performed on the skin surface - thus, making it a MUCH SAFER treatment than traditional cosmetic tattoos. The colour can also be adjusted in alignment with the original eyebrow or hair colour, which results in a realistic look and feel.

Unlike normal cosmetic tattoos, this technique does not leave a flat, dull and fake look that tattoos leave behind, nor is it permanent, so you are free to modify your requirements according to the latest trends.

So why semi-permanent, why not permanent?

Semi-permanent gives you the flexibility to change, down the track. Permanent tattoos don’t. In fact, permanent tattoos tend to fade to a dull blue shade that is difficult to get rid of. Thus, going semi-permanent offers you the option of continuing with your current shape and/or colour (by simply doing a “top-up” treatment) or completely re-shape your eyebrows or hairline.

How long will the treatment last?

Treatments will last up to 2 years, with retouches recommended every 12-18 months.  All initial tattooing includes one complimentary retouch within 6 to 8 weeks of the first application.
